Terms and Conditions for the Female Catalyst

The Female Catalyst is an intentional networking community. We strive to break barriers and empower women in STEM fields, driving change and progress in the scientific community. At The Female Catalyst, we believe in the power of diversity and collaboration to drive meaningful advancements in biopharma and beyond.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By joining and participating in Female Catalyst (hereinafter referred to as "the Group"), you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and any other applicable policies or rules. These Terms apply to all members, guests, and participants of the Group.

2. Code of Conduct
All members are expected to:

Engage in professional and respectful behavior at all times.

Share relevant information and resources that contribute positively to the group’s objectives.

Avoid any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct.

3. Networking Etiquette
The Group is designed to foster collaboration and relationship-building. As such:

Members should be respectful of each other’s time, interests, and business goals.

Personal solicitation or aggressive selling tactics are prohibited.

Introductions to other members should be made with the aim of fostering meaningful connections, not for direct business sales.

4. Meetings and Events

Members are encouraged to attend Group meetings, events, and activities regularly.

The Group will organize events at least 3 times a quarter. Attendance may be mandatory for certain types of events (e.g., member introductions, annual meet-ups).

Members are expected to notify the Group if they cannot attend scheduled events or meetings in advance.

5. Confidentiality

Members agree not to disclose or misuse any information shared within the Group without permission from the disclosing party.

6. Fees and Dues
-
Dinners are pay your own way unless otherwise stated.

Workshops are a non-refundable fee, however, tickets may be transferrable in the occasion you cannot attend the workshop.

If invited to be a member, membership fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

7. Liability and Disclaimers

Female Catalyst is not responsible for any direct or indirect losses, damages, or harm resulting from interactions between members, the use of information shared, or participation in Group events.

The Group does not guarantee any specific outcomes (such as job opportunities, business leads, or partnerships) for its members.

All members participate in Group events and activities at their own risk.

8. Termination of Membership
Membership may be terminated under the following circumstances:

Violation of these Terms and Conditions.

Failure to pay membership fees or dues (if a generation x member)
-
Any conduct that the Group deems harmful to the interests or reputation of the Group.
The Group reserves the right to remove or suspend any member at its discretion.

9. Use of Group Materials

All materials, content, and intellectual property shared by Female Catalyst, including but not limited to logos, event materials, and educational content, are the property of the Group or its licensors.

Members may not reproduce, distribute, or use Group materials for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the Group.
10. Changes to Terms
Female Catalyst reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms at any time. All changes will be communicated to members in a timely manner, and members will be expected to comply with any updated terms upon their implementation.
